Will San Diego Step Up to Develop Clean Tech?
Maureen Cavanaugh : From solar panels to new electric car batteries, advocates of clean technology say America is now poised on the brink of making big changes in the way the nation uses energy. Much of the optimism stems from the new administration and from the billions of dollars in the new stimulus package aimed at getting clean technology projects off the ground and getting consumers to buy them.
San Diego is known for innovative industries but it is not yet in the forefront of clean technology. That may be about to change as going green becomes both environmentally-friendly and profitable.
