Hackers Get Troops' Private Info from Military News Websites

If you subscribe to Gannett publications like the Military Times or Defense News, your private information might have been compromised. The Military Times posted a letter to its readers on its website yesterday informing them of the security breach. Although Gannett insists hackers didn't have access to subscribers' financial information...

Gannett has warned its subscribers to be wary of any new emails they receive asking for private information, like their social security numbers or credit card numbers. The publisher also urged subscribers not to open unknown attachments, because they could contain viruses or spyware.
