  • Make Music Day is a free celebration of music around the world on June 21. Launched in 1982 in France as the "Fête de la Musique," it is now held on the same day in more than 1,000 cities in 120 countries. The Museum of Making Music joins the celebration with a variety of fun, free activities, hands-on music-making, performances, and more! What can you expect on Make Music Day at the Museum of Making Music? 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.: Free Admission to the Museum. Enjoy free admission to the Museum of Making Music and be the first to see our latest spotlight exhibition "Roots & Wings: 40 Years of PRS Guitars" celebrating the artistry, innovation, and impact of PRS Guitars. 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.: Make and Play with Studio ACE. Our friends at Studio ACE will host make-and-play crafts for families. Create a music-themed art project that you can play! 11:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.: The Big Sing. A family-friendly singing celebration for all ages and all voices.   • Noche De Mole is the Sherman Height Community Center’s annual fundraising event. The evening event marks the start of our weeks-long Día de los Muertos celebration, now in its 31st year! Noche de Mole features a dinner menu inspired by a variety of regional moles from Mexico, signature beverages, entertainment, and a special preview of more than 25 community altars. The event is held mostly outdoors, except for the altar preview, which is indoors. We invite you to join us for a special evening as we celebrate longstanding traditions and cultural practices along with friends, family and supporters.   • Nearly 400 of the top junior tennis players in the country, aged 16 and 18 and under, will compete for the title of National Champion. In addition, wild cards for direct entry into the US Open will be awarded to the tournament’s top finishers. The Girls’ 16s event will begin on Saturday, August 2 and conclude with the singles and doubles finals on Saturday, August 9. The Girls’ 18s tournament will get underway on Sunday, August 3 and conclude with the singles and doubles championships on Sunday, August 10. Both divisions will feature 192-player singles draws and 96-team doubles draws. The Opening Ceremony for the USTA Billie Jean King Girls’ 16s and 18s National Championships will take place at the Barnes Tennis Center on Saturday, August 2 at 4:30 p.m. (PDT). Admission is free each day of the tournament and there is no charge for parking at Barnes Tennis Center.   • The San Diego County Farm Bureau is excited to announce the return of Farm Tour Day, taking place June 28 at 9 a.m. This year's event offers a behind-the-scenes look at a diverse array of local farms in Escondido, showcasing the heart of San Diego agriculture. Participants will enjoy guided walking tours led by the farmers themselves, sharing their expertise and passion for growing everything from mushrooms, succulents and cacti to citrus and avocados. Tours will be happening every half hour. As a bonus, end the day on a sparkling note with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine with any tasting purchase at a local winery.
