Attendees will enjoy a stunning Del Mar home, dine on a selection of three different paellas, see student artwork, and have the opportunity to create art with the ArtReach Artists that lead in-school programs, mural collaborations, and community art-making. Guests may try the always-popular Ring Toss, where the toss of a ring may become a bottle of fine wine to take home, or bid on stellar experiences and signature items through live and silent auctions. As part of OTC at the Brooks’ new film series, Movies at The Brooks, "Jesus Christ Superstar" kicks off the lineup with two free screenings on Easter Sunday at 12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. With the support of a generous grant from Las Patronas, OTC is proud to bring cinema back to the historic Sunshine Brooks Theater (217 North Coast Highway, Oceanside, CA), now equipped with a state-of-the-art screen and projector. Jesus Christ Superstar is a 1973 American musical historical drama directed by Norman Jewison and co-written by Jewison and Melvyn Bragg. Based on the 1970 concept album by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, the film stars Ted Neeley, Carl Anderson, Yvonne Elliman, and Barry Dennen. The Athenaeum Music & Arts Library is pleased to present the 2025 spring season of the Acoustic Evenings concert series, beginning May 16. The Acoustic Evenings series at the Athenaeum showcases some of the finest acoustic musicians in San Diego. Multiple acts fill each program, and attentive audiences delight in the intimacy of the unplugged storytelling format. San Diego Music Hall of Fame founder Jefferson Jay organizes and hosts the series. The project advances the Athenaeum’s commitment to support diverse San Diego talent. On Alexandra Savior’s new album, "Beneath The Lilypad" (RCA Records)—a collection crafted over the past five years—the singer, songwriter, and musician takes listeners on an ethereal journey. Woven together through 11 lushly orchestrated songs, the album follows the last half- decade of Alexandra’s life, a time during which her sense of self and artistic identity came into question, allowing for a creative freedom driven entirely by instinct and the desire to make music wholly for herself. "Beneath The Lilypad" does not tread a linear path—its arc does not follow an artist from difficult times to fully healed. “Because that’s not how life goes, and that’s certainly not been true of my journey,” she says with a laugh. “I wanted the tracking of this album to really reflect that: life is up and down.
