  • Build your confidence & skills in the woodshop! Upcoming dates: Sundays, March 2, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. or April 13, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Join us in the woodshop for this 3-hour skill-building workshop! This is a unique class on skills and safety for the home shop. No specific project will be built, but students will learn safe practices on tools that you’d normally find in a home woodshop. Specific tools covered will be jigsaw, router and circular saw. Bring your questions to class. We’re happy to answer questions as we work. If time allows, we can show other tools in the woodshop as well. Materials are provided. We recommend students bring their own eye protection, ear protection & apron. Aprons for sale here. ABOUT WOODWORKING FOR WOMEN The Woodworking for Women class series is designed to empower women & nonbinary individuals in a supportive and educational woodshop environment which is predominantly a male-dominated space. In this series, most workshops and classes are project-based. The series covers the properties of wood, machine safety, and techniques on various tools and machines. Most classes also introduce various machines, sanding, glue-up methods, and finish techniques for finishing your project.
