Featuring multigenerational voices, the exhibit captures the mystery and energy of animals, from awe-inspiring to whimsical, inviting viewers to reflect on our shared connection with all living beings. The exhibit coincides with the ballet’s dazzling performance, featuring a Latin jazz score composed by San Diego’s celebrated trumpeter Gilbert Castellanos, performed live by the Gilbert Castellanos Quartet. This vibrant collaboration of visual and performing arts invites audiences to immerse themselves in a unique celebration of the natural world and the arts.   • In this comprehensive class, students will learn the intricate art of staining porcelain and using colored clay to craft stunning patterns and one-of-a-kind pieces. The class will cover all aspects of the technique from coloring and preparing porcelain, learning how to build a variety of patterns and learning how to form and structure pieces. This course is designed for both beginners and intermediate ceramic enthusiasts incorporating a selection of hand-building techniques as well as tips for wheel-throwing with the patterns. All students receive one month of free membership at the ICA ceramics studio following the conclusion of the course.
