The San Diego County Fair presents the 2025 lineup for its acclaimed Paddock Concert Series. The 20-night Paddock Concert Series, presented by Chevrolet, includes a collection of Grammy-winning artists, rising stars, and tributes to legendary acts. The series is included in the price of admission, offering a real value and a fun experience for families to enjoy together. Shows will begin at 9 p.m. nightly from June 11–July 6 on the Chevrolet Paddock Stage at the San Diego County Fair. These shows are for all ages. Ozomatli opens the series on June 11 with their signature blend of Latin, hip-hop and rock. As a recording and touring artist, James Taylor has touched people with his warm baritone voice and distinctive style of guitar-playing for more than 50 years, while setting a precedent to which countless young musicians have aspired. Over the course of his celebrated songwriting and performing career, he has sold more than 100 million albums, earning gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards since the release of his self-titled debut album in 1968. In 2015, he released "Before This World," the first-ever #1 album of his illustrious career. James has won multiple Grammy® Awards, has been inducted into both the Rock and Roll and the prestigious Songwriters Halls of Fame and in February 2006, The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences selected him its MUSICARES Person of the Year. He was also awarded the distinguished Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French government and the National Medal of Arts by President Barack Obama in 2012. In November of 2015, James was presented with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Nation's highest civilian honor, and in December of 2016 he received the Kennedy Center Honors, which are presented annually to individuals who have enriched American culture by distinguished achievement in the performing arts.  In early 2020 he released "Break Shot," a deeply personal and authentic audio-only memoir detailing his first 21 years. Join Palomar College's Pride Center for a very special screening of the new documentary "Sally!" followed by an in-person conversation with the film's Co-Director Ondine Rarey! The screening will take place on Palomar College's San Marcos campus on March 20 at 5 p.m. FILM SYNOPSIS: "Sally!" (2024) Sally Gearhart was a charismatic trailblazer who led the charge in the 1970s and '80s lesbian feminist movement, leaving an indelible mark on women’s rights and LGBTQ+ equality. A brilliant and magnetic superstar, she inspired thousands with her unapologetic activism and visionary leadership. Yet, by 2008, her pivotal contributions had been all but forgotten, her legacy notably absent from the Hollywood film Milk. How could history overlook Sally Gearhart? This is the story of a revolutionary figure who cannot be erased. SPECIAL GUEST: Ondine Rarey Ondine is a filmmaker, editor, and writer. Her documentary FOOLS AND HEROES was a Grimme-Preis nominee (the German equivalent of an Emmy), airing on ARTE in France as well as stateside on PBS. She has edited well over a dozen documentary features and shorts, including "Now en Español" (for PBS), "A Great Ride," "Who Will Write Our History" and, “Rebel Hearts” an official selection at Sundance 2021. She has also worked on multiple TV series, including KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS and ALIEN ENCOUNTERS.
