Brushes: one #8, #10, or #12 round brush (with a good point); one 3/4” or 1” flat brush; one large (2” or 2 1/2”) cheap bristle brush (from hardware store). Other: palette (any palette with eight or more color wells will do); water container; sketchbook; two No. 2 pencils; 3/4” or 1”–wide masking tape; small drawing board (Gatorfoam board or Masonite, 12” x 16” minimum); paper towels (Viva preferred). Paint: Any colors you have. Virtuoso organist Jonas Nordwall performs popular standards on the Theatre Organ Society’s 4-manual, 24-rank “mighty Wurlitzer.” Nordwall is equally skilled in presenting both classical and popular music concerts. This concert will be a showcase of the Great American Songbook. The American Theatre Organ Society named Jonas Nordwall its Organist of the Year in 1987. He has served since 1971 as organist at the First United Methodist Church of Portland, Oregon, where he is Artistic Director of Music. He led the organist staff for ten years at Portland’s Organ Grinder Pizza restaurant and is the organist for the Oregon Symphony Orchestra.
