Event will begin with a brief summary of the labs research and the role of mosquitoes in our ecosystem. This will be followed by field activities on the Marsh. Volunteers will get the chance to take environmental measurements, identify mosquito larvae, collect environmental samples for DNA sequencing and explore the Kendall-Frost Marsh! Tom has written 2,700 arrangements for television and has performed on 4,400+ television shows, 3,000+ radio & television commercials, 1,500+ recordings, and thousands of live performances worldwide. Artists he has recorded and arranged for include James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Billy Joel, James Taylor, Sting, Al Green, Whitney Houston, Tom Petty, Steely Dan, Chaka Kahn, Tina Turner, Miles Davis, Count Basie, and hundreds of others. A Slice of History: Pizza & Prints is a hands-on program where participants will learn about craftivism—the use of crafting as a tool for activism—and explore how people throughout history have used handmade art to spark change.
