Artists he has recorded and arranged for include James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Billy Joel, James Taylor, Sting, Al Green, Whitney Houston, Tom Petty, Steely Dan, Chaka Kahn, Tina Turner, Miles Davis, Count Basie, and hundreds of others.
