  • Theater for Young Professionals is holding auditions for "CHICAGO" Teen Edition, our third show of the 2025 season, on Monday, June 23 from 4:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. at our rehearsal space at 7960 University Ave, Suite 240/250, La Mesa CA 91942. Callbacks are by invitation only on Tuesday, June 24 from 4:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. This show is for actors 12 years old and older. To register for an audition time, please email your headshot and resume to Jessica at jessica@typsandiego.org. Please prepare a one-minute song selection in a musical theater style. You will sing with a backing track that you provide. NO a cappella auditions. Please check-in 15 minutes prior to your audition time. We will consider video auditions. **If you have been in one of our shows over the past year, then you are not required to audition. However, you must send us an email indicating your interest. You will be invited straight to callbacks. We are looking for a diverse cast to bring this popular musical to life. We will consider double casting some of the roles if needed. Please let us know if you are interested in splitting a role with another actor. The rehearsal and show schedule are below. Actors are allowed two conflicts, but we prefer they not have any conflicts. You are not allowed to have a conflict the two week before tech or during tech week. There is a production fee of $400 for company members, $475 for non-company members, and parents are required to volunteer at the box office for two performances.
