Learn how to get the most from your colored pencils and explore a variety of techniques, tools and papers to help you achieve stunning results in your drawings! Colored pencils combine the best things from drawing with the best things from painting. In this class, you will learn: how to create highlights and shadows blending fundamentals color scheme fundamentals different styles of drawing with colored pencils how to create realistic art how to capture various textures Students will walk away with a finished drawing or two. NOTE: this class does not go over "how to draw" and focuses on using the materials with color mixing, layering, and blending. We recommend the Exploratory Drawing class. 2025 Oceanside Plein Air Festival Painting Southern California in the Open Air September 6 - 13, 2025 Come together to celebrate creativity and the natural environment with artists of various skills to take over our beautiful city with plein air painting.
