Every Thursday in July, San Diego Botanic Garden will be open until 8 p.m. In addition to extended hours, Summer Nights features a lineup of concerts on the Lawn Garden. Explore our tropical Rainforest and waterfall view deck, wander along winding pathways in the peaceful Bamboo Garden, and catch an ocean sunset from our Overlook Tower. Bring the whole family and play in Hamilton Children’s Garden, where kids can climb Toni’s Treehouse in a jungle canopy, or splash in the Mountain Stream. California State Parks invite you to celebrate an old fashioned Fourth of July at Old Town San Diego State Historic Park! Visitors can join park staff and volunteers celebrating as early San Diego residents did in the 1800s with games, crafts, and live music from Big Mountain Blue Grass Band. Event is free; some activities may require an additional purchase. Additional parking is available at the CalTrans headquarters, just two blocks from the park at 2994 Sunset Street.
