The Town Hall CA48 Deserves — Even If Darrell Issa Won’t Show Up
Join Indivisible North County San Diego and our powerful coalition of regional grassroots groups for a dynamic, people-powered congressional town hall—the kind Representative Darrell Issa refuses to hold.
In 2025, many Republican House members—including Issa—are dodging public accountability. They’re avoiding traditional town halls because they don’t want to answer tough questions about their voting records, their ties to extremist policies, and their refusal to represent the will of their constituents. But we believe democracy demands better.
That’s why Rep. Sara Jacobs (CA-51) is stepping up and standing in. In a bold act of solidarity, she’s agreed to take questions from CA48 residents, speak directly to the issues impacting our community, and help strategize ways we can pressure Darrell Issa to do his job—or get out of the way.

The California Center for the Arts, Escondido is situated on a 12-acre campus in downtown Escondido adjacent to Escondido City Hall and Grape Day Park. The campus is comprised of a 1,523-seat Concert Hall, a 406-seat Center Theater, a visual arts Museum, art and dance studios, and a Conference Center containing meeting and banquet facilities. Groundbreaking occurred on June 22, 1991. Since its opening on October 1, 1994, The Center has attracted more than one-million visitors through its performing and visual arts presentations, events in the Conference Center and education programs.
