Last year more than 1,000 eager participants gathered at UC San Diego’s protected Kendall-Frost Mission Bay Marsh Reserve in February to participate in Love Your Wetlands Day. Volunteers participated in conservation activities, listened to science talks, and helped repair traditional Native American sailing boats during the event structured to show love to the last 1% of wetlands left in Mission Bay.
