  • Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021 at 10 p.m. on KPBS 2 / On Demand. This film tells the story of how a little-known military intelligence school in Minnesota played a pivotal role in ending World War II. The institution trained more than 6,000 Japanese Americans, or Nisei, to be translators, interrogators, and Japanese military specialists.
  • Dec. 25, 2021 from 7–9 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022, from 9-11 p.m. on KPBS TV. Billed as a grand motion picture event when it opened in theaters in 2019, the "Downton Abbey" movie follows the beloved Crawley family and their intrepid staff as they prepare for the most important moment of their lives: a royal visit from the King and Queen of England. Inspired by what she discovers Mary takes to the estate kitchen where she creates a delicious spread from raspberry tartlets to gamekeeper's stew and an elaborate menu for a grand finale dinner.
