Hiring Heroes Links Wounded Veterans with Jobs

Where can seriously wounded veterans find work after their service in the U.S. military? A recently-formed Department of Defense program, Hiring Heroes, seeks to match injured vets with jobs.

Tom Fudge: The Iraq war has not resulted in a huge number of deaths of American soldiers. But many have been wounded, some seriously. Needless to say, losing fingers, limbs, facial features, or suffering brain injuries, makes it harder to get a job. And that's what people who leave the service eventually need to do.
