SD City Council to Vote on a Budget Issues

KPMG finally gave San Diego its 2003 audit of the city's financial statements. What will this mean for the city's fiscal health? Also, this week the San Diego City Council votes on a budget ordinanc

Tom Fudge: Last week, San Diego City Hall got the news it had been waiting for, for years. The company KPMG had completed the city's 2003 audit. But apparently it's not quite time to pop the corks on the bottles of bubbly. This news does not mean San Diego gets a clean bill of fiscal health, and can now re-enter the public bond market. So what does it mean, exactly?

The San Diego City Council is scheduled to make a final vote on this budget ordinance today at the 2 p.m. City Council meeting at the City Administration Building, 202 C Street in downtown San Diego.
