Ad Exec Says Seduction is Key to Woman's Success in Business

Tom Fudge : The glass ceiling is a metaphor that most all of us know. It's the name we give to the barrier that prevents women from moving to the top of an organization. It's glass, I guess, because it's hard to see and it's considered to be kind of surreptitious, though it's a poorly kept secret I'd have to say.

Glass ceiling or no, this barrier hasn't prevented all women from becoming top executives. There's never been a female president of the United States, but many countries have had female prime ministers. The women who have made it to the top speak of living in a man's world. Let's face it, the CEO position is one in which you're expected to "be a man," act like one and make decisions like one. This raises the question of what's a gal to do? Do you have to leave your female side behind? Do you have to tell crude jokes and tell your buddies what a beast Kobe Bryant was in last night's Lakers' game?
