A new report shows that home sales are still dropping in San Diego and the rest of the country. The Standard and Poor Case-Shiller report finds housing prices here were down over 20%  from a year ago.   Standard and Poor's Maureen Maitland says San Diego was one of the worst performing markets, but she's still optimistic. She says the price of homes have doubled since 2000. Maitland says there are also indications prices could stop falling later this year.

Maitland: Most economists that I talk to are predicting an end to this cycle sometime this year. We're going to bottom out, perhaps trade down a little bit more, but eventually reach an end.

The report measures home prices in 20 of the nation's largest cities.
