San Diego’s average price for a gallon of gasoline is up to $3.57 a gallon. The Utility Consumer's Action Network tracks local prices at hundreds of filling stations.

UCAN’s Charles Langley says the local price jumped three cents a gallon since last Friday and he thinks it will continue to go up.

Langley says the price of oil on the international market appears to be driving prices at the gasoline pump.

Langley : The on the spot price, which is why they call it the spot market, is tracking very closely with oil prices on the futures market. So we're literally paying tomorrow's price for gasoline today.

Langley says the price of diesel fuel topped $4 a gallon today. He says that’ll drive up the cost of food and consumer goods because they’re shipped by truck.
