Transit Spokesman Reports On the Sprinter’s First Week

Tom Fudge: If you've ever wanted to sprint from Escondido to Oceanside, now you can, even though most people would argue a 53 minute train ride isn't exactly sprinting. The point is there is now a light rail system that links Escondido and Oceanside, and many point along the way. Those in-between points include Palomar College, CSU San Marcos, and the Vista Transit Center Station.

Building the Sprinter required nearly half a billion dollars in funding, and its been in planning for decades. But today, we've actually had a week to try it out.
