Tom Fudge: Next Monday marks the beginning of a new session of the U.S. Supreme Court . This year, like every year, we can expect the court to cast American law in a new light. Last year, some of the rulings were dramatic, such as the one that determined people do have an individual right to bear arms. This year the court will address many interesting issues. They include obscenity, free expression and immunity from lawsuit given to government officials.

Glenn Smith and other law professors from the California Western School of Law will participate in a discussion about the 2008-2009 U.S. Supreme Court term and the high-profile cases to be considered by the justices. It will be held this coming Monday, October 6 at 3:00 p.m. in the Moot Court room at California Western School of Law. 350 Cedar Street, 3 rd floor.
