SAN DIEGO During a morning newscast on Friday, July 3, KPBS aired a story indicating that parking meters in San Diego, and most cities around the county, would not be enforced. In fact, while there was no enforcement at some meters, parking laws were enforced at many meters, including in downtown San Diego. There was no enforcement of parking meters on Saturday, Independence Day.
KPBS received the information from a regular news source, and sincerely regrets the error.

I know at least two people who got tickets as a result of this report, and I almost got one myself before I chased down the meter reader guy and explained the situation.

I got one too - in Downtown San Diego. Is there a way we can contest this?
