Envision San Diego is tracking down your dinner. We want to know what's on your plate, where it comes from and how it got there.

Take a peek inside our reporters' notebooks as we begin research on this two-month investigation about what your family is eating. We'll provide updates, video blogs, and interactive features on our Web site as we delve deeper into the topic. If we stumble onto any road blocks, we'll let you know. We'll also ask you for information about what you're having for dinner.

The full-length documentary will air in November but KPBS will provide information about your food on the radio, television and online, in the days ahead.
