MTS To Offer Expanded Services In Anticipation Of Parade And Holiday Bowl Crowds
Wednesday, December 29, 2010
Between the Port of San Diego Big Bay Balloon Parade and the Holiday Bowl, Metropolitan Transit Services expects increased trolley usage Thursday.
In anticipation, expanded services will be provided, however, MTS suggests traveling to any destination two to three hours before an event. Specifically for the Holiday Bowl, it is suggested that fans take any Qualcomm-bound trains between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. in order to avoid arriving late to the game.
A list of extended services and tips for Thursday's events can be found at the MTS website.
Officials expect a 60-minute wait for public transportation after the Holiday Bowl, when usage is at its highest. Twenty-thousand people are expected to use public transportation to travel to the Holiday Bowl Thursday.
