San Diego Super PAC To Promote Defense Spending

A new political action committee that plans to promote a vigorous national defense strategy is set to launch in San Diego tomorrow.

Organizers of the Fight 4 America super PAC plan to unveil television commercials that focus on defense budgets under President Barack Obama.

The board of directors includes former Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-El Cajon, who for years was the GOP leader of the House Armed Services Committee, and Republican political strategist Ed Rollins.

A mission statement from Fight 4 America says the organization wants to keep "America's defenses strong, ready and able to defend our nation's interests, and to ensure that the men and women in uniform who defend our country should be the best equipped, trained and supported in the world.''

Spokesman Tony Manolatos said Fight 4 America expects to be around long after the November election -- serving as a watchdog, holding the president and Congress accountable, and supporting national security and the nation's military personnel.

Military spending in the United States is one of the biggest farses around.

We outspend any other nation on earth by a very large margin.

The margin is so wide, we can easily cut **MORE** than what the Obama Administration is proposing, and still remain the world's hegemon.

Obama isn't even cutting military spending, he is making the increases less.

In fact, the Defense Department itself is advocating the reductions, but Republicans want to make it a political wedge issue with this absurd notion the cuts being proposed will somehow dismantle our defense system.

I wouldn't expect anything less fom Duncan Hunter.

Hunter works for local military bosses.

He's their boy.

He was not put into office to think critically or to balance American's needs when it comes to health, welfare, security, education, and technology.

He was put into office to be a one-track yes man for unlimited military funding.

Hunter is one of the most short-sighted, one-issue incompetents in politics today.

And I suppose Willard Romney favors unlimited military spending and will pander to people like Mr. Hunter?

Anyone who thinks big government would shrink and government spending would go down under a President Willard Romney is a fool.

Where are the tea partiers, Norquist, and the "tax payer watchdogs" on this one?

Take away the people's healthcare and retirement, let the people's infrastructure crumble, be content with America's youth continuing to score lower in education than our competitors, but KEEP THE MILITARY FUNDING COMING LIKE UNLIMITED SPARKLING, BUBBLY CHAMPAIGN POURING FROM A GOLDEN BEVERAGE FOUNTAIN!!

**Mark my words, if America is stupid enough to elect Willard Romney President, we will be in full-blown war with Iran before his first trm is finished!!**

Still, you've got to admit that starting a Super PAC to promote military spending sure beats starting a war to promote military spending.
