After speaking at the Naval Base San Diego this morning, Cheney is scheduled to headline a $2,100-a-plate lunch fundraiser for 50th District Congressional candidate Brian Bilbray.

Bilbray is in a special election runoff against Democrat Francine Busby. Both are trying to fill the remaining seven months in the term of Randy Duke Cunningham. At a Sacramento event Monday, Cheney raised nearly $400,000 for CongressmanJohn Doolittle. Cheney was greeted by protesters at his Northern California appearance. The protest was led by the California Nurses Association, which accused Cheney and Doolittle of doing favors for corporate campaign donors.
