San Diego leads the nation in new online job ads tracked by The Conference Board.
Ken Goldstein is an economist with the non-partisan organization. He says while
online job ads increased in San Diego last month, job growth is slowing down.

Goldstein: But the not so good news is that the overall labor market is cooling off, but again the whole pack, the whole country, the whole region is losing a little bit of steam, San Diego, at least at the moment, is still at the head of that pack.

The Conference Board started tracking the number of new, online jobs last year.
Goldstein says the survey is one of several tools the firm uses to track employment trends. It also produces the Consumer Confidence Index for the U.S. and other countries.

A big decision awaits some voters this April as the race for San Diego County’s Supervisor District 1 seat heats up. Are you ready to vote? Check out the KPBS Voter Hub to learn about the candidates, the key issues the board is facing and how you can make your voice heard.
