SDSU Nursing Program Focuses on Recruitment
Hospitals and clinics are begging for more nurses from coast to coast. The U.S. Senate actually passed legislation aimed at encouraging foreign nurses to immigrate to the United States.
A big part of the solution to this crisis is education. There are people who want to become nurses, but nursing schools are turning away applicants. One of those schools is San Diego State, which has the largest nursing program in the region.
SDSU now has a new director of its nursing school. Catherine Todero comes to SDSU from the University of Nebraska and plans to increase recruitment capacity.
