Two of eight Camp Pendleton-based servicemen accused of murder in the death of an Iraqi man in April are scheduled to be arraigned today. Pfc. John Jodka and Corporal Marshall Magincalda are facing general courts-martial.
The two and six squad mates are charged with premeditated murder, kidnapping and conspiracy in the death of an Iraqi man west of Baghdad last April. A court-martial has also been recommended for Lance Corporal Jerry Shumate, another Marine charged in the slaying. Military officials say the three men will not face the death penalty.
