Camp Pendleton Marine Shares Her Experiences from Fallujah
Tom Fudge: Yesterday ten American troops were killed across Iraq. That made it the deadliest day for American forces in that country in nearly a year. Camp Pendleton-based Marines, of course, make up a sizable portion of the fighting force in Iraq. And every once in a while we check in with locally based Marines in that very dangerous country.
Today we hear from Staff Sergeant Amy Forsythe, who is based at Camp Fallujah in the Sunni triangle. She is a Marine Reservist and a combat correspondent who lives in Oceanside. North County residents know her as the host of North County’s Endless Summer on KOCT, channel 18.
