California might land a presidential primary next year, transfer prisoners out of the state, and insure healthcare to all of its citizens. We speak with John Myers, the Sacramento bureau chief for KQE

Tom Fudge: Partisan differences continue to play a role in Sacramento politics. The debate over prison crowding and universal health care are two examples of issues that Democrats and Republicans will battle over. Meanwhile, most people think it would be a good idea for California to move its presidential primary up to February of 2008. But will local election officials be able to meet this timeline?
