Tom Fudge: There's a man named Andrew Romanoff who lives in the small town of Inverness in Marin County, California. His neighbors may call him Andrew or Mr. Romanoff. But if a certain revolution had not taken place in Russia, he'd be called His Serene Highness Andrew Romanoff. In fact, he might have become the czar of Russia.
Andrew Romanoff is the grandnephew of Czar Nicholas, who was killed along with the rest of his immediately family after the revolution. Andrew's father and grandmother, however, were more fortunate. They received help from England's royal family. And Andrew was born in London in 1923.
Andrew Romanoff is an artist, and he's published a book of art that also tells the story of his life. It's called The Boy Who Would Be Czar.
