Alison St John (Guest Host): We seem to hear more tales from the campaign trail these days, than about practical attempts to pass legislation in Washington. How is the early campaigning affecting the ability of Congress and the White House to get anything done?

Here with us to start the week is Eric Niiler, our ear to the ground in the nation's capital.
