Alison St John (Guest Host): Several interesting things are on the agenda for today and tomorrow at City Hall, including the issue of selling off city property to help balance the budget. The city also plans to cut more than 100 jobs in the Wastewater Department without affecting services. Is that really possible?
And is it fair to the neighborhoods to change the bylaws of community planning groups?
Plus, San Diego City Council President Peters has just come back from Sacramento, where he's been lobbying for more money for San Diego projects.
The San Diego City Council meets at 2 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday) to discuss the authorization to sell 19 properties owned by the city. The council also meets at 10 a.m. tomorrow to consider the practices and responsibilities of community planning groups.
The City Council must approve the budget by June 30th. The budget takes effect on July 1st.
