San Diego Gas Prices Continue Slight Decline From Record Highs
San Diego gas prices continue to retreat from record high levels last month. The latest survey by the Utility Consumer's Action Network finds the average price of a gallon of gas at $3.22.
U-CAN's Charles Langley says that's down 9 cents a gallon from last week. He says oil companies are responding to a drop in demand.
Langley : A good indication was when the tax equalization board came out and said, you know what, people really are driving less. And they should know because they tax every gallon that's sold in the state of California.
Langley says two stations in the county are already selling gas cheaper than $3 a gallon. He expects many more filling stations to follow suit by this time next week.
