Path to Parenthood: 'China Ghosts' Recounts Adoption Experience
Alison St John (Guest Host): Imagine traveling to China to adopt a baby you've never seen except in a photo. Jeff Gammage, a reporter for the Philadelphia Enquirer , made the journey with his wife to pick up a two-year-old girl called Jin Yu. Jin Yu is one of more than 60,000 Chinese babies who have been adopted by Americans. Gammage has written a book called China Ghosts about how he, his wife and his two-year-old dealt with the emotional turmoil of the experience.
