Local Defense Contractor Faces Bribery Charges In Cunningham Scandal

Tom Fudge: You may have thought the Duke Cunningham case was over. The former Congressman is now in jail, after admitting to accepting more than $2 million in bribes. But don't forget that many of his co-conspirators in the bribery and government contracting scandal still face trial. Next month, it's Poway defense contractor Brent Wilkes.

The odd thing about the latest developments in the Cunningham scandal is the secrecy. Federal courts have taken the unusual step of allowing secret hearings of testimony by a New York developer who laundered money for the former congressman. Meanwhile, the House Intelligence Committee has voted to keep secret an unclassified report on Cunningham's misdeeds.
