Capitol Hill Update: CIA Videotapes, War Spending, Energy Legislation, Farm Bill
Tom Fudge: Americans woke up this morning to news that a former CIA official said waterboarding got one of Al Qaeda's top operatives to talk. John Kiriakou commented last night on ABC News . He says use of the technique, that many people consider to be torture, allowed U.S. officials to disrupt dozens of planned attacks.
This news comes as CIA Director Michael Haydon prepared to be questioned by congressional panels about the agency's destruction of the tapes of interrogations. This is one of the subjects we'll be talking about in our Capital Hill update.
