Six Murdered in Tijuana Puts City on Edge
Tom Fudge: The past week has been a dramatic and disturbing one for the city of Tijuana, which has long been in the grip of gang violence. This week three members of the police department have been murdered . In one case, the gunmen went into the officer's home and also killed the man's wife and at least one of his little girls.
The news is shocking, but certainly not unprecedented. In Baja California they say police often have the choice of gold or bullets, meaning they can accept bribes from organized crime or expect to be shot for not cooperating.
