A new California Field Poll shows Hillary Clinton holds her double-digit lead over Barack Obama among Democratic voters. The Field Poll surveyed likely voters in the February 5th primary election. KPBS Reporter Andrew Phelps has details.

Clinton has a 12 point lead over Obama, but he is up 5 points from a month ago. Mark DeCamillo is the director of the Field Poll. He says Obama is most connected with the word "change" and Clinton with "experience."

DeCamillo: Clinton has an advantage over Obama. For example, she's seen as the candidate with the best chance of winning in November. She's also seen as the candidate who best represents what the Democratic party stands for, and even a narrow plurality say she would be more likely to unite the U.S.

DeCamillo says support for John Edwards has dropped to 10 percent. He says most Edwards supporters list Obama as their second choice candidate. That means the race could even up if the "Edwards factor" is eliminated.
