Mayor Jerry Sanders will release the Fiscal 2006 audit opinion today. It could help San Diego get back into the bond market, which would dramatically improve the city's financial position.

Mayor Sanders Releases 2006 Budget Audit

Andrew Phelps (Guest Host): There is some welcome news for the city of San Diego 's troubled financial situation.

Mayor Jerry Sanders announces the release of the city's 2006 audit today. That brings San Diego one step closer to the public bond market, which means the city could start borrowing money again. San Diego desperately needs more cash to pave potholes and replace an outdated sewer system, just to name a few problems. Mayor Sanders will present the audit to the city council today.
