Legal Update: Lethal Injection, DUIs, Immigration
Tom Fudge: Last week, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled, once again, that the death penalty does not violate the Constitution's 8th Amendment, barring cruel and unusual punishment. Specifically, they ruled that the use of three drugs to kill death row inmates did not subject them to an unacceptable degree of pain and suffering. This is a big deal for California, because the three-drug cocktail is the way we execute people.
