Female BMX Bike Racer Talks About Her Participation in the Upcoming Beijing Olympics

Tom Fudge: This year there's going to be a new event at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Beijing will be the first Olympic venue to host BMX bike racing. For those who don't know, a BMX is a small bike with 20-inch wheels and one gear. You see kids riding them around town, and they're popular with sport bikers who like to do tricks, flips and jumps.
Jill Kintner is a one-time competitive mountain biker who's taken to BMX racing. She'll be competing in this year's Beijing Olympics. And she's been training at the US Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, which will host the Men's BMX Olympic Team Trials this weekend.
The U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Cycling will be held at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista this Saturday, June 14.
