San Diego homeowners are urged to cut back on watering their lawns, and residential water use in the county has barely budged. Mayor Sanders talks about mandatory cutbacks in water use.
The Federal courts rule that water that would normally come south from the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta must stay where it is to protect a little fish called the Delta Smelt.
In California, the North has more water -- though not really enough -- and the South has more people who need more water.
But that's just California. The problem with water in a thirsty world is that, more often not, the water is in the wrong place.
There's a new exhibit at the San Diego Natural History Museum titled "Water: H20=Life."
