Style vs. Substance in Second Presidential Debate
Tom Fudge: Last night, John McCain and Barack Obama met for the second in their three presidential election debates. This was a town-hall type event, hosted by NBC's Tom Brokaw and attended by a few dozen regular folks from the Nashville, Tennessee area. The debate took place on the campus of Belmont University.
We're going to talk about the debate, and the presidential race, during this hour of These Days. A little later in the show we're going to hear from Peter Andersen, an expert in public speaking and persuasive communication.
