Tom Fudge : The German-Czech writer Franz Kafka is one that Kathi Diamant has taken a major interest in. Kathy is the author of the book Kafka's Last Love: The Mystery of Dora Diamant. Dora Diamant, who's name is spelled just like Kathi's, was Kafka's late-life companion who was in possession of his last writings. Kathi has sought to find those writings.
And earlier this year she set out on a tour of Europe in an ongoing effort to find them.
Guest
- Kathi Diamant, adjunct professor in the College of Arts and Letters at San Diego State University and the director of the Kafka Project , Diamant is also author of "Kafka's Last Love: The Mystery of Dora Diamant." Kathi will be teaching a six-week class through SDSU's College of Extended Studies this November and December, entitled "Loving Kafka." You can read Kathi's blog from her European literary tour here.
