SAN DIEGO (AP) -- An autopsy has concluded that a San Diego surfer whose body was found in the water had drowned before being bitten by sharks.
Brandon Beaver's body was found floating offshore early Thursday. A day before, he went missing during a surfing outing off Pacific Beach.
The 42-year-old man's surfboard was found with his wetsuit tied around it.
The county Medical Examiner's office has concluded that Beaver drowned, and that the shark bites came in a "post-mortem" attack.
