San Diego Couple Celebrates 70th Wedding Anniversary
The Balboa Park Senior Lounge celebrated the 70th wedding anniversary of a San Diego couple Friday morning.
Mike and Jackie DiMaggio, who are both 92 years old, have been regularly attending the senior lounge four times a week since 2005. They say the lounge is like a secondary living room and consider the people they visit with their extended family.
When asked what the secret is to maintaining a long marriage, Mike said, “I do everything she tells me to do. That’s the secret.”
The Balboa Park Senior Lounge is managed by the Park and Recreation Department as part of its mission to enrich the lives of San Diegans.
