I know it's still September and Halloween isn't till next month but I'm already in Halloween mode so I thought I'd highlight "Zombieland" (opening October 2). Plus check out the link to the website where you can zombify your photo!
Sorry for posting the Trailer Tuesday so late but I wanted to get not just the "Zombieland" trailer but also a set of the "Zombieland" faux promos and a zombified picture of myself. That's right. At the official "Zombieland" website you can zombify yourself with a nifty little program that allows you to put a circular saw blade in your head, hollow out your eyes, or apply a lovely decaying green to your skin. It's a great way to create a new FaceBook profile photo just in time for Halloween. You can see a sample zombified pic of my son and myself below.
"Zombieland" stars Woody Harrelson (I would have preferred Bruce Campbell) and Jesse Eisenberg as a pair of survivors in a zombie infested, post-apocalyptic America. The emphasis is definitely on comedy but with what looks to be a high level of gore. It doesn't look as smartly funny as "Shaun of the Dead" but it looks promising. And as a diehard zombie fan I certainly don't want to miss this one. The director Ruben Fleischer hasn't done anything of note nor have writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. But judging from the fake promos below, someone seems to have a decent sense of humor so maybe the film will be the perfect thing for a late night Halloween flick. Here's hoping.
